Update to PMC Familiesby Peter W. Welty, M.D., F.A.A.P.
October 3, 2005
As you all know, the Pediatric Medical Center doctors and staff are now entirely moved to our temporary office at 1730 Termino Avenue, Suite 102. Although the waiting room is close, we are glad to have more examination rooms to see our patients. Everyone has been patient and flexible during this transition. Again, we are reminded of how grateful we are to be serving such wonderful children and families.
We are beginning to speak with architects and contractors regarding the specifics of rebuilding the PMC building. Luckily, we should be able to save the existing outer walls. There will likely be redesigns of the bathrooms and doorways to meet current ADA specifications. We may look at reconfiguring some parts of the front office. It is an exciting time with new developments every day, and we look forward to the opportunity to make an even better Pediatric Medical Center for our patients and families!
Thank you again for your support and concern as we open this new chapter of PMC history. We are looking forward to the challenges and opportunities in the months ahead.

WHERE IS MY MOMMY?
by Mary Kilgore, MSW Mitchell Kilgore, MSW
How do young children cope when a parent leaves? Doesn't she love me anymore? Is she lost? Was it my fault? This 32 page booklet is a valuable tool designed to understand and aid the grieving child.
SOMETHING IS WRONG AT MY HOUSE

The subject matter is parents fighting. Do they have any idea how destructive this behavior is on their children? And, what is a kid suppose to do about it?
Both booklets are written for the 3 to 10 year olds.
